Principal, Cloud Engineer
Job Description:
The Role The qualified candidate will be part of an Agile development team working on a multi-year initiative to build a comprehensive brokerage platform.
As the Principal Software Engineer, the candidate is expected to provide leadership and guidance on their cross-functional team.
This role will involve analysis, design, planning, coding, and testing not only within the team, but aligned with the overall project direction.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Hands on experience in Serverless cloud native applications in AWS technology Hands on experience in using AWS Lambda Functions with event sourcing from AWS managed services like SNS/SQS/S3/DYNAMO/EventBridge/Kinesis/AWS Batch Experience with Terraform to create application with IAC for both EKS and Serverless applications and managing infrastructure with terraform In-depth knowledge of programming language Java and NodeJs Expert in designing and building REST web services using Java at internet scale Experience with databases, Relational (PostgreSQL-AWS Aurora & Oracle) and Non-Relational (DynamoDB) Proficient in Datadog to mine and create monitors and metric dashboards Good to have experience in Kafka messaging Platform Must have the ability to take a concept and turn it into a finished product Should be able to learn and adopt to diverse technologies Ability to think strategically.

Personal skills to work with all levels of management at a technical and operations level Ensures code reviews, unit testing and integration testing is completed efficiently and effectively Help coordinate the delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams.
Experience using jUnit, Cucumber or any other Automated Test Framework Incorporate and streamline test automation into build CI/CD pipelines and quality gates The Team The candidate will be expected to provide tactical solutions as well as strategic vision embracing leading-edge technologies and methods.
In addition, this role will require the ability to work with senior-level business partners to understand requirements and propose appropriate solutions, and to work with architecture and infrastructure teams to articulate capability requirements.
