We represent some of the top brands of food products from the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Europe.
With operations located in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, Miami, Florida, and Atlanta, GA serving the Eastern United States, our solid network of sub-distributors and wholesalers augment our direct-to-retail operation, allowing coverage to the mid-western states and the West Coast.
Purpose of Job The Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing the strategic network of Distributors across the USA employing a wide range of marketing and sales-related initiatives.
The position links business development, finance, sales, and marketing to help identify opportunities to drive business growth.
It offers a unique and distinctive opportunity to tackle significant business issues, lead and support cross-functional projects, and interact directly with senior leadership teams.
key outputs/deliverables Achieve budgeted revenues and margins in the territory and channels assigned.
Expand distribution footprint for the business in the assigned territories to deliver growth.
Launch and expand distribution of new and strategic products within assigned territories.
Maintain sales pipeline to meet business sales quota.
Develop joint business plans with distributors and review quarterly performance.
Provide accurate forecasts to guide demand planning.
Principal Responsibilities Manage the network of Distributors within the territory assigned, by overseeing the brand development and marketing activities.
Build relationship with Key Retailers in the assigned territories where Distributors operate and Lead all Brand building promotional efforts within the Channels.
Conduct a timely review of distributor's effectiveness and execution.
Conduct detailed competitive, market trend, economic and financial analysis; synthesize and communicate marketing and strategic implications.
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the key retail chains that drive the performance of the distributors in the territory assigned.
Lead and support consumer research, product and business evaluation, and business process improvement related projects Creates and enhances strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, influencers, agencies, and vendors.
Evaluate operational issues to determine whether competitive and staying current with the latest trends in the industry.
Performance Criteria Sales performance against targets for key products Management of A&P Improvement and/or maintenance of Return on Marketing Investment (per activity and overall).
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field 5 years of project/program management experience Excellent communication and presentation skills Language Skills (Spanish/English) Key Competences Business Acumen.
